Why work with us?

If you’re looking for an opportunity to be part of serious community change, making a real impact with an innovative, growing social enterprise, this might be the right opportunity for you!

Working at the forefront of the ever-evolving, dynamic housing and community services space, Junction Australia works to better the lives of thousands of vulnerable South Australians.

We believe in supporting the community we work within but also those they work with – investing in your ongoing career development and leadership opportunities.

What’s the role?

As a pivotal player in our team, based within our rapidly expanding Child and Youth Services service, you’ll create seamless rosters that work.

Using our EmpLive platform, you’ll be planning and maintaining rosters, ensuring all shifts are managed and filled across twenty residential sites.

But there’s much more to this role than simply scheduling.

Instead, you’ll lead and drive a strategic approach to our rostering function, working with key internal stakeholders from support workers to recruitment and through to the leadership team. You’ll contribute to leadership meetings, manage risk and work with your team to create stability and crucial support for our most vulnerable children and young people.

And who are you?

Love a puzzle? So do we! In this role, you’ll be a professional puzzle solver and strategic thinker.

In addition to having rostering experience, you’ll be a highly organised, clear communicator, focussed on building sustainable, productive relationships across teams.

An experienced phone juggler, you’ll thrive on effective systems (but love creating better ones!) as well as adapting to changing priorities. You’ll be a constant learner who can think on their feet and a proactive, effective coordinator. You’ll be eager to put your stamp on something, someone who takes the initiative and enjoys taking ownership of key projects.

Ideally, you’ll be an early riser, who prefers to start work early and finish early (but if not, don’t let that stop you from hitting apply!)

Most importantly, you’ll be a keen change-maker, seeking an opportunity to make a difference to the lives of our most vulnerable while also developing and expanding your professional skills.

What’s in it for me?

We’re proud to offer a flexible, supportive workplace culture – including work from home options – because we know that happy and engaged people can create incredible change.

We strive to create an environment where our team can learn and grow, where you can develop your career, access ongoing training as well as opportunities for personal and professional growth. (Put simply, we’re a little bit passionate about helping you to reach your full potential!)

Working within an energetic and experienced team, we know you’ll learn bucketloads about the community services space. As our organisation continues to experience significant growth, we’re pleased to offer you a long-term, permanent opportunity where you can be part of important work that truly matters.
