A global technology company that deliver products and services to their customers in underground mining, tunneling and civil construction, are currently seeking an experienced Payroll and Accounts Officer to join their Torrensville office.

Working as part of a small finance team, you will be responsible for managing the payroll process and providing accounts receivable support.

Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant, your day to day reponsibilities will include

  • Reviewing timesheets and preparing fortnightly and monthly payroll of approx 120 staff
  • Daily processing of accounts receivable transactions
  • Following up on outstanding debts
  • Verifying compliance of transactions to financial policies and procedures
  • Reconciling bank accounts on a daily basis
  • Issuing monthly customer statements
  • Assisting the Finance team with month-end reporting
  • Assisting with the contract management process
  • Interacting with warehouse, sales and administration staff
  • Maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer service with internal and external customers

 
About you
We’re seeking an experienced, professional and enthusiastic Payroll Administrator looking to expand their skill set.

You will have excellent administrative, time management and organisational skills, well developed interpersonal skills with the ability to confidently and effectively interact and build positive relationships with the finance team and broader business. Flexibility, adaptability and a positive ‘can-do’ approach, together with the ability to work effectively in a busy, fast paced environment are also key requirements.

Previous experience managing the payroll administration along with proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite are required. Previous experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365/Navision (or a similar ERP), ADP payroll system is advantageous.

Additional Requirements
This is a full-time, permanent position starting as soon as practicable. The successful candidate must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment medical to NAP’s required standard, obtain a National Police Clearance certificate and possess a COVID-19 digital certificate.
