The Role
The HR Officer will provide professional advice and support across all aspects of the employee lifecycle and will work closely with the broader HR team to develop and deliver people solutions aligned to their strategic direction.

Reporting to the Head of People & Safety, your core responsibilities will include:

  • Providing support in all aspects of the employee lifecycle including recruitment and onboarding, employee relations, performance management, award and agreement interpretation, reward and recognition, and retention and separation
  • Providing professional and timely support and advice to staff and managers on a diverse range of people matters
  • Building strong relationships across the organisation
  • Assisting with administrative tasks related to the people and safety function
  • Providing input into the continual improvement and streamlining of internal HR practices

About You
The successful candidate will possess previous experience in a similar role, exceptional communication skills and the ability to consult and collaborate with a diverse range of people.

Additional skills and attributes required include:

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive working relationships
  • An eagerness to expand your skills and knowledge
  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work autonomously or collaboratively within a team
  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline (minimum Diploma level)
