Women’s Legal Service SA (WLSSA) is a state-wide specialist community legal centre. WLSSA provides legal advice, representation, community legal education and support services to disadvantaged women living in South Australia.

The Role

The newly created position of Fundraising, Sponsorship & Communications Manager will be responsible for the development and implementation of a fundraising and sponsorship strategy to create income growth and diversification for the WLSSA.

Working closely with the Executive team, you will be responsible for developing relationships with prospective supporters and donors, together with the planning and execution of fundraising events and activities.

Located in the CBD and reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, your core responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and nurturing relationships with stakeholders to build and retain donors and sponsorship partners
  • Developing and implementing sponsorship strategy
  • The planning and execution of fundraising events and activities
  • Creating promotional material for marketing and media opportunities
  • Developing and driving communications and engagement through various mediums including online and social media channels
  • The coordination of fundraising volunteers
  • Collaborating with internal staff to ensure the effective integration of communications

About You

We’re seeking a confident and capable fundraising professional who has the expertise and knowledge to create and execute a fundraising strategy and meet financial targets.

Other skills, experience and attributes required include:

  • Previous experience in event, marketing, and social media management
  • A clear and confident communicator with the ability to build meaningful partnerships
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • The ability to thrive in a dynamic and evolving environment
  • Creative problem-solver with a positive “can-do” attitude
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Communications, or another relevant field
